"The grotto" as we like to call it, is a must on every visit to Las Vegas. For my meal on my latest visit, I had shrimp scampi. The flavors were excellent and the shrimp was cooked just right. The pasta was perfect with the slightly tangy sauce. The food is always fresh and consistent. The ambiance is quiet (even more so now that it was moved to a different section). The staff is friendly and helpful and the menu is not a crazy long novel so ordering is super easy. I love the grotto and will continue making it a must when I visit the area.

Night out of town at the Golden Nugget. Tired of feeding the slots, work up an appetite. In the mood for Italian. We decided on Grotto. Figured it would be chill and wanted some pasta. The ambiance is romantic, modern, and casual. Love the art of glass chandeliers. Our server was attentive and professional. Let's dive into the food::: Margarita Pizza::: It was great! Crunchy thin crust. Served on a pizza tray. Great presentation. Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo::: It was delicious. Noodles al dente. Creamy alfredo sauce. Pleasantly surprised! Portion was great. End up taking home leftovers. All and all, not a bad Italian option if you're looking for a quick bite at the golden nugget to satisfy your hunger.

This restaurant is hidden in the Golden Nugget Casino but definitely stands out in flavor. We have yet to try the fresh baked pizzas but the veal and chicken were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was a bit slow but very friendly. You'll find yourself very comfortable in this setting wearing either casual or fancy clothing. There is a bar with sports on the suspended televisions or seated tables with candles.

Food, service and ambiance all 5 stars. We ordered the meatza pizza and a Come to go. It was late and I was starving. The pizza was ready so fast! We went up to our room and chowed down. I am from NY, so I am very picky about my pizza. It was delicious! The toppings were sublime. The picture I am posting is only part of a pizza because we had already devoured half of it. We will certainly be regulars here.

Great food/service/prices are fair, nice setting in back of casino. A go to when downtown for pizza and wine.

The hostess gave us a stare when we asked to be seated, which made us a bit uncomfortable. Maybe she didn't like our casual attire? Otherwise a pleasant visit. Nice atmosphere with beautiful decor. Friendly wait staff. Great pizza for a reasonable price. That's all we tried, so I can't comment on anything else except that the iced tea was good.

Wow - I loved this place. A super cute, reasonably priced, yummy place tucked into the Golden Nugget. We came around 9PM on a Saturday night and we're seated right away. We had a pizza and two orders of the pollo Parmesan. The bread that comes with the meal was warm, and well-cooked. The perfect starter! Honestly, the food was delicious. The pollo Parmesan was very fresh and had the right hints of both garlic and basil. Definitely would want to come back - service and food were awesome!

You will find Grotto hidden at Golden Nugget in Downtown Vegas. If you're staying there, its existence will be obvious because you will walk right by it on your way to the casino, pool, or Fremont Street, but it's only open on the weekend. If you're not staying there, you might not know it exists. And if you're not staying there and you know it exists but it's a weekday, then you won't be eating there. Therefore, the stars must align for you to enjoy this fine cuisine. The service was excellent--even the manager came to check in on me. What a kind individual. And the waiter was on the ball. The food was also excellent. It felt like a true NY Italian meal. Even better than some NY Italian restaurants. The only Italian restaurant I'd put ahead of this one in Vegas is Lago at Bellagio, but I haven't tried them all yet. Regardless, it's a very simple formula. If you're Downtown and want quality Italian food, this is where you go.
